Founded in 1897 by Mr Shearer and Mr Harvey on the outskirts of Glasgow, Shearer Candles is the UK’s longest established lifestyle candle company.
Throughout it’s long history the business has always been family run. When the last of the Shearers retired in 1972 the present owners, the Barnet family, took over and is now in it’s third generation. While much has changed, the artisanal approach, attention to detail and craftmanship first pioneered by Shearer and Harvery still underpins everything we do.
Over a century later Shearer Candles prides itself on delivering high quality candles that contain only the finest ingredients. Today our customers include leading retailers, hotels and restaurants, not to mention candle lovers of all persuasions – who can’t help but fall for our beautifully crafted candle collections.
